Learning Objectives:
- Review risk factors for invasive fungal CNS infections such as Transpantation (e.g., solid organ or bone marrow), diabetes, and other factors depending on the location (Arizona, Rochester, and Florida)
- Outline a Mayo Clinic Enterprise wide sudy on CNS fungal invasive infections as well as common clinical and CT, MRI presentations.
- Review strategies for acute treatment of fungal CNS infections as well as limitations in CSF lumbar fluid diagnosis
