Objectives:

  1. Identify the sequence and pharmacologic options for induction of unconsciousness and neuromuscular blockade for airway management.
  2. Recall the 3 classes of neuromuscular blocking agents, their advantages and disadvantages with certain clinical scenarios.
  3. Recognize and have an approach for managing high-risk patients: Valvular Heart Disease, Impending Herniation, Hypovolemia and other shock states.
