Dr. Brian Chong is an Associate Professor of Radiology in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine. He joined Mayo Clinic in Arizona in 2004 and is a Consultant in the Departments of Radiology and Neurological Surgery.
He received his M.D. degree from the University of Toronto; did an Internship at Toronto General Hospital; a Residency in Diagnostic Radiology and a Fellowship in Neuroradiology at the University of Toronto and then a fellowship in Neurointerventional Surgery at Emory University in Atlanta. He was an American Society of Neuroradiology Basic Science Fellow as well. He did sabbatical studies in Pediatric Neuroradiology at the University of California in San Francisco.
Dr. Chong is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada; a Diplomat in the American Board of Radiology; a Senior Member in the American Society of Neuroradiology; Member of the American College of Radiology; and a Senior Member of the Society of Neurointerventional Surgery. He has served as a member on numerous institutional committees within Mayo Clinic and the Department of Radiology. He is the former Chair of the Division of Vascular and Interventional Radiology.
Dr. Chong has over 60 peer reviewed publications, book chapters, and abstracts related to his fields of interest and he has been the Principal Investigator or Co-Investigator of numerous research grants and IRB protocols. His research focuses on presurgical planning and simulation as well as medical device design.

Illuminate areas of practice-based improvement within the neurosciences based on advancing scientific research or Practice-based improvement projects.
