David Capobianco, M.D., presents:
“Neurology Education Program Updates”
Dr. David J. Capobianco is Associate Professor of Neurology at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and a Consultant in the Department of Neurology. He joined the Mayo Clinic staff in 1991, after serving four years in the United States Navy as the Division Chair of Neurology at Naval Air Station Jacksonville.
Dr. Capobianco received his B.S. in Biology from Providence College and his M.D. from Georgetown University. Following his internship in Internal Medicine at Saint Mary's Hospital in Waterbury, CT, he completed his Neurology residency at Georgetown University and his fellowship at Mayo Clinic Rochester. Dr. Capobianco is a diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology and the American Headache Society. He is currently on the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education Neurology Residency Review's executive committee, chair of the American Academy of Neurology Member Application Review Subcommittee and the American Academy of Neurology Member Engagement Committee. Dr. Capobianco is a past chair of the Academy of Neurology Consortium of Neurology Program Directors, and has served on the American Academy of Neurology Graduate Education Committee, Organization of Program Directors' Association, Board of Directors for the American Headache Society and the Florida Society of Neurology. He is a recipient of the American Academy of Neurology Program Directors' Recognition Award. Currently at the Mayo Clinic in Florida he is the Associate Dean for Graduate Medical Education and Chair of the Neurology Education Committee. His focus of interest is in medical education.

Define areas of new neuroscience knowledge and research
Understand Clinicopathologic (CPC) correlations of neurologic disease
Illuminate areas of practice-based improvement within the neurosciences based on advancing scientific research or Practice-based improvement projects.
