Anteneh Feyissa, M.D., presents “Diagnostic and therapeutic advances in drug resistant epilepsy

Anteneh was born in a small town called Aleta Wondo, Ethiopia. He obtained his medical degree from Addis Ababa University Medical Faculty, Ethiopia. He then joined Hawassa University, College of Health Sciences, Ethiopia where he worked as an Assistant Professor for six months. He then was awarded a full scholarship to attend at the National University of Ireland, Galway, Ireland where he earned a Masters of Science in Neuropharmacology. Following this, he came to the USA to work as an exchange research scholar (Neuroscience) at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, Jackson, Mississippi. Later he completed Neurology residency training at University of Texas Medical Center/ MD Anderson Cancer Center, Texas. Subsequently he came to Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN where he did a one year clinical neurophysiology fellowship.  He is currently doing a second year epilepsy fellowship at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN and he is expected to complete his training on June 30, 2016. Anteneh is board certified in Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology and board eligible for Epilepsy. He is interviewing here for the position of junior Epileptologist.

Define areas of new neuroscience knowledge and research

Understand Clinicopathologic (CPC) correlations of neurologic disease

Illuminate areas of practice-based improvement within the neurosciences based on advancing scientific research or Practice-based improvement projects.
