“Making Good on the Promise of GWAS in Stroke”

Dr. Chris Anderson is a Neurocritical Care physician at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School, with research expertise in the genetics of ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke. Dr. Anderson is a member of the Steering Committee for the International Stroke Genetics Consortium, an organization made up of investigators from around the world devoted to using human genetics to explore the biology of stroke. He is also a member of the Program in Medical and Population Genetics at the Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT. His laboratory utilizes computational, genetic, and epidemiologic tools to derive new information about the mechanisms underlying cerebrovascular disease, and to use this information to drive identification of novel treatment targets and implementation of precision strategies for primary and secondary prevention.

Illuminate areas of practice-based improvement within the neurosciences based on advancing scientific research or Practice-based improvement projects.
