Learning objectives:
- Describe the temporal and regional pattern of amyloid and accumulation in the brain
- Describe the temporal and regional pattern of neurofibrillary tangle tau accumulation in the brain
- Describe the interrelationship between amyloid and tau as it relates to the pathogenesis of Alzheimer disease

He is an investigator in clinical trials sponsored by Lilly Pharmaceuticals and the University of Southern California. He serves as a consultant for Samus Therapeutics, Third Rock, Roche and Alzeca Biosciences but receives no personal compensation. He receives research support from the NIH. The presenter does not intend to discuss an off-label/investigative use of a commercial product/device.
