Upon conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Recognize the basic connectivity and complexity of the basal ganglia circuits
  • Recognize the complex interactions within these circuits
  • Interpret the pathophysiological mechanisms of some movement disorders such as resting tremor in Parkinson disease
