Learning Objectives
Upon conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Diagnose the clinical presentation of the different seizure emergencies
  • Summarize for patients and their caregivers or significant others regarding the outpatient management of seizure emergencies
  • Illustrate how to appropriately use the effective acute rescue antiseizure medications
  • Determine the appropriate utilization of the emergency department and hospital care for seizure emergencies
