Title: When Do Disorders of Movement Become Movement Disorders?
Learning Objectives:
- Recognize the overlap between disorders of movement arising along the neuraxis and movement disorders generated in the basal ganglia and connecting structures
- Discuss the effects of (1) order of appearance, (2) testing sensitivity, (3) and genotype and phenotype in the interpretation and classification of abnormal movements
- Recognize that the cutoff between disorders of movements and movement disorders artificially shifts along a continuum of hyper- and hypokinetic movements
