Mayo Clinic's Clinical Reviews and Primary Care Update seeks to update physicians on the latest recommendations of medical subspecialties important to the primary care physician. This comprehensive program consists of lectures, workshops and panel discussions on topics of general interest in various areas of medicine.
Target Audience
This course is a comprehensive program for family physicians, general internists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and registered nurses that need a review of primary care subjects and seek to gain new strategies of care.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Evaluate elevated liver enzymes
- Describe evidence-based heart failure therapy
- Differentiate between benign & malignant skin lesions
- Identify REM sleep disorders
- Assess pleural effusions
- Discuss complications of checkpoint inhibitor therapy
- Identify causes of shoulder pain
- Select therapy for neurocognitive behavioral disorders
- Discuss current diagnostic and therapeutic options for common illnesses seen in primary care
- Identify new evidence-based treatment, using the most up-to-date clinical and scientific information
