Target Audience
This course is designed for the PT, PTA, Allied Health, Physician, Athletic Trainer, PA, Resident/Fellow, Nurse, Scientist Researcher, and Nurse Practitioner.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Define the updated definition of a sport-related concussion
- Summarize the recommendations from the 6th International Conference on Concussion in Sport regarding sport-related concussion prevention, removal from play, assessment, recovery, rehabilitation and return to sport
- Compare differences between the concussion assessment tools SCAT5 and the updated SCAT6
- Describe the evaluation of a sport-related concussion in office using the SCOAT6
