This live and livestream course provides the latest, state-of-the-art information on the diagnosis and management of common gastroenterology and hepatology disorders. Topics include innovation in management of Barrett’s esophagus, enteral feeding, endoscopic evaluation of IBD patients, endoscopic resection of large colorectal lesion, small bowel bleeding, path to success in medical innovation, evaluation of liver masses, new approaches in PBC management, and update on steatotic liver disease. 

Friday offers a full-day, interactive, live-endoscopy session where participants have the unique opportunity to ask the endoscopists questions while the procedures are taking place. Special lunch with the Endoscopists offered to in-person attendees on Friday. 
Saturday offers didactic lectures, both live and livestream, with panel discussions for interactive Q & A opportunities with course faculty members. Active audience participation is strongly encouraged.

 

Target Audience

This course welcomes a multidisciplinary audience, comprised of physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, allied health professionals, residents, fellows, and medical school students who have an interest in treating gastroenterology and hepatology patients.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

Gastroenterology:
• Evaluate current recommended techniques for resection of large colorectal lesions
• Review recent recommendations for best path to success for medical elevation
• Review enteral feeding tube selection and mana
• Appraise endoscopic evaluation of IBD patients
• Describe approach to small-bowel bleeding

Hepatology:
• Appraise recent updates in the management of primary biliary cholangitis (PBC)
• Review current management of steatotic liver disease
• Evaluate rationale approaches to the workup of liver masses
