This four-day course provides general internists, hospitalists, family practitioners, and allied health professionals with state-of-the-art information on invasive and noninvasive electrocardiographic tools used in the diagnosis, evaluation, and treatment of cardiac rhythm disorders. Attendees realize important advances in the medical field and address educational needs and practice gaps. Through didactic lectures, case-study presentations, and audience interaction, this CME activity strives to develop and promote continuing medical education with the ultimate goal of enhancing patient care.

Target Audience

This course is designed for general internists, hospitalists, family practitioners, and allied health staff.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Review serious heath rhythm disorders
  • Identify the latest scientific advances and innovations in the field of heart rhythm disorders
  • Discuss sudden death risk factors in high risk patients
  • Recognize common ECG patterns
  • Describe current guidelines for the management of hearth rhythm disorders
  • Select appropriate, evidence-directed pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapies to achieve optimal outcomes for patients with heart rhythm disorders
