Mayo Clinic Pulmonary Hypertension Symposium 2025 - Live (in-person)

The Mayo Clinic Pulmonary Hypertension Symposium provides necessary updates to interdisciplinary providers who care for patients with pulmonary hypertension. In this course, distinguished faculty cover topics ranging from diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary hypertension, chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension, and portopulmonary hypertension. Through engaging didactic sessions, interactive case discussions, and informative panels, this course further explores new guidelines in diagnostic criteria, current terminology, effective treatment modalities, risk stratification tools, co-management of underlying disorders, lung transplantation, and insurance approval and documentation.
Target Audience
This course is designed for physicians, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals interested in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with pulmonary hypertension.

- Assess patients based on diagnostic criteria in pulmonary hypertension.
- Identify updated guidelines on treatment for pulmonary artery hypertension.
- Interpret echocardiographic patterns to assess hemodynamics for diagnosis of pulmonary hypertension.
- Recognize effective treatment for underlying rheumatological disorders in patients with pulmonary hypertension.
- Examine diagnostic criteria in chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension.
- Distinguish appropriate treatment for patients with chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension.
- Identify optimal treatment strategies for interstitial lung disease in at-risk patients.
- Determine when to obtain the appropriate catheterization to assess hemodynamics in patients with adult congenital heart disease.
- Identify postoperative management strategies in patients with advanced liver disease.
- Examine preoperative management strategies in patients with advanced liver disease.
