This course offers Live (in-person) and Livestream (virtual) attendance options
Course Directors: Devon Rubin, M.D., and David Burkholder, M.D.
February 16 - 21, 2027 - Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island, FL
This course provides a comprehensive update on contemporary techniques and clinical applications in electromyography (EMG), neuromuscular ultrasound (NMUS), and electroencephalography (EEG) for the evaluation and diagnosis of neurologic disorders. Core content areas include nerve conduction study methodology and interpretation; needle EMG technique and waveform analysis; neuromuscular ultrasound of peripheral nerves, muscle, and respiratory structures; and interpretation of normal and abnormal EEG findings.
The curriculum emphasizes practical application, including recognition of technical limitations and common interpretive pitfalls, and integration of neurophysiologic data into clinical decision-making for patients with peripheral nerve and neuromuscular disorders, epilepsy, and other central nervous system conditions. Didactic sessions are reinforced through structured live demonstrations and hands-on learning experiences in nerve conduction studies, needle EMG, neuromuscular ultrasound, and EEG interpretation to enhance skill acquisition and clinical competence.
