This interactive hands-on workshop will provide participants with practical training in diagnostic and interventional musculoskeletal ultrasound techniques commonly utilized in sports medicine and orthopedic practice. Attendees will gain experience in ultrasound-guided injection procedures for major joints and soft tissue structures while learning principles of sonoanatomy, needle visualization, procedural accuracy, and patient safety. The session will emphasize real-world clinical applications and evidence-based procedural techniques.  

Target Audience

This program highlights key topics in sports medicine, with an emphasis on diagnosis and treatment strategies. It is designed for athletic trainers, physical therapists, primary care providers, orthopedic surgeons, physiatrists, and other healthcare professionals interested in this field. It also promotes evidence-based, patient-centered care and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Identify key musculoskeletal ultrasound anatomy and demonstrate proper ultrasound-guided injection techniques for commonly treated joints, tendons, and soft tissue structures. 
  • Apply evidence-based principles of procedural safety, needle guidance, and diagnostic ultrasound imaging to improve accuracy and outcomes in musculoskeletal interventions.
