Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Differentiate platelet quantity from platelet quality/function, and direct clinical evidence from indirect biologic plausibility, when evaluating PRP readiness.
  2. Identify nutritional deficiencies-iron, B12, folate, copper-that can alter megakaryopiesis and platelet function.
  3. Formulate a conservative, transparent recommendation set for pre-PRP nutrition screening and patient counseling
