6th Annual Collaborative Symposium: Update in Gynecology and Minimally Invasive Surgery

This intensive and comprehensive course is designed to provide a practical update in medical and surgical gynecology by offering tips and pearls, as well as hands-on experience, for practicing gynecologists. Distinguished faculty from Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, and Harvard will present their expertise and knowledge on topics such as:
- Updates in medical gynecology
- Medical management of endometriosis
- Establishing hormonal amenorrhea
- Medical management of fibroids
- Managing endometrial hyperplasia
- Preserving fertility for endometrial cancer patients
Course topics will also include:
- What’s new for screening of gynecologic malignancies
- What gynecological conditions result in infertility
- Genetics and increased risk for gynecologic malignancies
- Updates in surgical gynecology including endometriosis
- Fibroids and hysterectomy
- Enhanced patient recovery
- Outpatient hysterectomy
- What’s new in vaginal, laparoscopic, robotic, and open hysterectomy techniques

Learning Objectives
Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:
- Apply updates for vaginal, robotic, and laparoscopic hysterectomy to current practice
- Compare a variety of minimally invasive treatment options for uterine fibroids
- Evaluate different options for patients with endometriosis latest developments in the field and explore future directions regarding a new technique for contained morcellation
- Assess the management of pelvic pain and endometriosis, including excision of advanced endometriosis
- Identify the most common complications in laparoscopic, robotic, and hysteroscopic procedures and develop strategies to avoid them during surgery
- Determine how to select which patients are appropriate for surgery
