Provides primary care updates on various topics and opportunities to learn common primary care procedures.
Topics:
The morning session will offer the following topics:
- Care of the premature infant,
- Evaluation and treatment of a child with obesity,
- Precocious puberty and pubertal delay,
- Road to actively dying.
The afternoon session will offer the following topics:
- ingrown toenail removal,
- evaluation and treatment of hemorrhoids.

Learning Objectives
Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:
Morning
1. Describe the primary care provider's role in evaluating and managing the care of a premature infant.
2. Identify current recommendations for preventing childhood obesity.
3. Discuss common causes of precocious puberty.
4. Define the two different "roads" of death.
Afternoon
5. Demonstrate how to remove a toenail and thrombosed hemorrhoid.
