Objectives:
At the end of the presentation, the participant is able to:
- Describe the current literature related to best anesthesia practice.
- Describe the team dynamics needed to implement changes to current practices.
- Describe the literature content related to new anesthesia practices for a specific specialty area (e.g., OB, Pediatrics, Neuro, Cardiovascular, EENT, Out-patient, Transplant, Orthopedics, etc.)
- Explain the new pharmacology that impacts anesthesia case management.
- Describe the surgical procedures that impact anesthesia case management related to the specific literature reviewed during the session.
Teaching Methods:
Selected journal articles will be presented in PowerPoint with interactive audience discussion encouraged throughout the presentations. Audience polling system will be used by presenters as a discussion starter.
Learning Environment: This lecture series will be conducted in a lecture hall/conference room setting.
