The Diabetes Management 2023 CNE conference is designed to provide an overview of diabetes management including updates to the 2023 ADA Standards of Care, implementing ADA recommendations and algorithms in clinical practice, advances in diabetes technology, patient education, nutrition, cardiovascular and mental health living with diabetes, and cultural aspects of care.
This continuing education activity is provided by a CBDCE Recognized Continuing Education Provider. Contact hours are applicable for CBDCE renewal.
6.50 ANCC hours apply toward advanced practice nursing pharmacology credits.

Target Audience
This CNE conference is designed for nurses and healthcare professionals caring for patients with diabetes in all care settings.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Outline the updates to the 2023 ADA Standards of Care
- Delineate implementation of ADA recommendations and algorithms in clinical practice
- Identify new technologies for diabetes care
- Describe management of a patient with diabetes focusing on cardiovascular, mental health, nutrition, and patient education

President and Founder, Diabetes Education Services
As president of Diabetes Education Services for 25 years, Beverly Thomassian, RN, MPH, CDCES, BC-ADM, believes that we can improve diabetes care through education, advocacy and curiosity. Beverly is an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of California, San Francisco, (UCSF) and adjunct professor at Touro University. As a Diabetes Nurse Specialist at a local Indian Health Clinic, she keeps her clinical skills fresh through one-on-one consultation, provider collaboration and quality improvement initiatives.

Cancellation and Refund Policy:
Request for cancellations must be submitted in writing to cne@mayo.edu.
If the cancellation is made prior to the start of the activity, a refund less an administration fee of $25 will be issued. If the cancellation is made after the start of the activity, no refund will be issued. All refunds will be made using the same method as the original payment.
