This CNE conference is designed to provide an overview of advancements in caring for geriatric patient populations focusing on behavioral health, ethics & cultural care, medications, transitions, wound care, and more. Expert panels and case scenarios for questions and answers are also included.
Target Audience
This CNE conference is designed for healthcare professionals who care for geriatric patients in acute, long-term, and home care settings including registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, social workers, nursing home administrators, and nurse practitioners.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Identify strategies and services for managing behavioral health issues in the geriatric population.
- Outline risk factors, side effects, and considerations in managing medications for the elderly.
- Describe cultural and ethical principles when caring for the elderly patient.
