This course provides an overview of cancer survivorship, focusing on the key components of survivorship care and the long-term effects of cancer treatments.
Target Audience
This CNE course is designed for nurses in hematology/oncology or who are interested in the specialty.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Explain the term survivorship and outline the goals of its six key components
- List at least one long-term side effect associated with each treatment type: chemotherapy, radiation, immunotherapy, and surgery
- Describe the most commonly used psychosocial assessment tool in survivorship care
- Outline the components of a survivorship care plan
