Hypoactive sexual desire in females is one component of sexual dysfunction in women. It’s a sensitive topic and one that doesn’t often get discussed in the clinician’s office. What’s the best way to ask about this problem and how do we manage it once we know it exists in our patients? We’ll discuss these issues with a women’s health specialist Dr. Jacqueline Thielen, a Mayo Clinic general internist in the Menopause & Women’s Sexual Health Clinic at Mayo Clinic in Rochester.
