LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

1. Articulate the principles of effective, ethical, and impactful global health, using One World Surgery's work in Honduras as a framework for delivering care that is sustainable, locally centered, and accountable to the communities it serves. 
2. Translate private-practice and ambulatory surgery center (ASC) innovations into a low- and middle-income country setting, drawing on the experience of building Summit Orthopedics into a successful group and adapting those operational, efficiency, and quality principles to build surgical capacity in Honduras.
3. Apply academic rigor within a private-practice and global health context, demonstrating how outcomes measurement, quality improvement, and research can be embedded outside of academic medicine, and how scholarly pursuit continues well beyond residency training.
