Transoral Surgery Hands-On Workshop
Course Directors: Michael L. Hinni, M.D. and Samir Patel, M.D.
An optional cadaveric hands-on workshop will provide participants with opportunities to perform various transoral procedures with laser technologies and delivery systems. Renowned faculty will emphasize fundamental transoral anatomy, microsurgical techniques, and wound exposure, as well as other transoral techniques.
If morning workshop is fully subscribed then an afternoon session will be held.
Roundtrip transportation will be provided from the Residence Inn Phoenix Desert View at Mayo Clinic to the Mayo Clinic campus in Scottsdale.
6:30 a.m. Transportation departs Residence Inn Phoenix Desert View at the Mayo Clinic.
1:00 p.m. Transportation departs back to the Residence Inn Phoenix Desert View at Mayo Clinic

Target Audience
This course is designed for otolaryngologists, head and neck surgeons, radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, oral maxillofacial surgeons, pathologists, and speech pathologists.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Practice instrumentation in fresh cadaveric models, the use of the micromanipulator and laser fiber delivery systems.
- Demonstrate basic understanding of “inside-out” endoscopic surgical anatomy.
