Allon Kahn, M.D. will be discussing approaches to the management of esophageal symptoms and disorders that occur in the context of cancer treatment.

Objectives:

At the conclusion of this activity, the learner should be able to:

• Recall the common causes of odynophagia in a patient undergoing treatment for cancer.
• Select appropriate testing to investigate the etiology of odynophagia and dysphagia.
• Differentiate treatment strategies in malignant strictures and those resulting from cancer therapy.
• Identify appropriate referrals for the various scenarios which may occur for patients with symptoms of dysphagia and/or odynophagia.
