Bio:  Scott is an ordained minister with over forty years of ministry experience, in campus ministry, in the local church, and in Hospital Chaplaincy. In 2015-2016 he was immersed in the challenging world of Clinical Pastoral Education through the ACPE Training Program at Banner Desert Medical Center and Cardon Children's Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona. In August of 2016 he completed his CPE Training and was blessed to become the Palliative Medicine Chaplain at the Mayo Clinic Hospital in Phoenix. In 2020, he completed a Masters of NT Degree from Johnson University, becoming a Board-Certified Chaplain with the SCA.  Scott currently works in the Mayo Clinic hospital on the 4th floor serving the cardiology and bone marrow transplant programs.

 Scott has been happily married for 41 years to Diana with three children, Nathan, Sarah, and Myra. Nathan was born with Down syndrome and has had a tremendous impact on the rest of his family as well as all who know him.  Scott is fascinated by the skills and practice of resilience, which he has been learning about for his entire life.  He is thrilled to be with you today to talk about this powerful and important subject.
