At the conclusion of this presentation, participants should be able to:

  • Identify red flags conditions that would prompt early imaging for acute low back pain.
  • Explain to their patients the high prevalence of imaging features spinal degeneration in asymptomatic patients.
  • Explain to ther patients the risks associated with attributing too much significance to non-correlative imaging features of spinal degeneration.
