This course is designed to meet the needs of physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, advanced practice nurses, nurses and students who care for infants, children and adolescents. The course will address recent breakthroughs in topics common to the pediatric age group as well new therapeutics developed for pediatric patients. Presenters will be referencing state-of-the-art practice guidelines and best available evidence at the time of the meeting in 2025. The meeting will involve specialists from multiple specialties with a central theme of children with cardiac disease.
Target Audience
This multidisciplinary course features content for physicians, physician assistants, nurses, nurse practitioners, athletic trainers, dieticians, psychologists, social workers, and students with a clinical interest in pediatric cardiology.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Describe strategies to integrate medical information from reviews of common and rarely encountered clinical scenarios into the daily care of pediatric patients with heart disease.
- Describe newly developed therapies for the management of rare pediatric diseases associated with heart conditions.
- Develop effective clinical strategies for diagnosing and managing a wide array of challenging problems in clinical practice.
