DESCRIPTION

This series occurs weekly on Fridays, 12:10- 12:55 p.m.

Pediatric Grand Rounds is the major departmental conference series in which our consultants and trainees undertake to learn about the cutting edge of clinical practice across the field of pediatrics and related specialties. The goal of this activity is to promote the improvement of patient care and to stimulate research collaboration. Throughout this course, weekly presentations can be classified into one of several topic areas. The broadest topic consists of presentations covering the state-of-the-art care of patients in specific clinical situations. We also dedicated a series of presentations in which we highlight new clinical or basic research topics of relevance to Pediatrics. We perform quarterly reviews of Morbidity & Mortality with a focus on cases with high-impact learning points to improve patient care. Furthermore, Pediatric Grand Rounds incorporates our Professional Development Series aimed at improving the skills of our staff and trainees as faculty members in the pursuit.
