COURSE DESCRIPTION
In December of 2019, SARS-CoV-2 emerged from Wuhan, China, and was rapidly transmitted across international borders to become the COVID-19 pandemic. This novel virus causes a variety of symptoms that differ in location and severity. There are numerous investigational COVID-19 treatments, including antivirals, immune-based therapies, and adjunctive therapies.COVID-19 treatment modalities that have been evolving in accordance with the growing literature bank of clinical trials and research studies. This presentation will evaluate current evidence regarding the therapeutic pipeline for the inpatient management of COVID-19 and discuss factors to consider when navigating the treatment landscape.
At the conclusion of this knowledge-based CE session, participants should be able to:
- Discuss COVID-19 epidemiology and clinical presentation
- Review current guideline recommendations for the overall medical management of COVID-19
- Evaluate literature detailing the outcomes associated with the use of investigational COVID-19 treatments

Linh received a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Minnesota in Duluth, MN. She is a current PGY1 Pharmacy Resident at Mayo Clinic Health System - Mankato with practice interests in internal medicine, critical care, and infectious diseases.
