"Active Materials Technology for Dynamic Compression Systems"

Learning Objectives:

1. Introduce and describe active materials as relevant technologies for wearable medical devices.

2. Illustrate the viability of active compression garments for medical applications using examples from ongoing work in the University of Minnesota Wearable Technology Laboratory.

3. Discuss the specific viabilitay of active compression for physical and occupational therapy applications (e.g. Lymphedema).

Credit (if available) is announced on the Group Home page.  All sessions are reviewed individually and credit is pulled for any that do not meet the criteria.
