"Life in a Wheelchair -- The View From Below"

Learning Objectives:

  1. Express a greater understanding of the overwhelming daily challenges faced by those confined to a wheelchair.

  2. Recognize the need to see beyond the patient’s physical disability and to care for the entire person.

  3. Discuss the experience of a PMR physician who becomes a PMR patient.

  4. Identify the need for PMR residents to spend time living as a wheelchair bound patient to enhance understanding and empathy.

Credit (if available) is announced on the Group Home page.  All sessions are reviewed individually and credit is pulled for any that do not meet the criteria.
