The Professionalism & Values Seminar Series focuses on values embraced at Mayo Clinic since the Clinic was founded. Values and Professionalism in the practice are central to the Mayo Model of Care and are reflected in the clinic’s primary value, “The needs of the patient come first.” This seminar will feature representatives from various Mayo Employee Resource Groups, (MERGs) who will tell their stories and share experiences. Their stories focus on the value of diversity and inclusion at Mayo Clinic, which impacts patient care, interactions with families and visitors, and staff satisfaction. 

Learning Objectives:

1. Seek to understand others through their diverse stories

2. Recognize the benefit of diversity and inclusion at Mayo Clinic

3. Consider ways to personally promote and support diversity and inclusion to create a respectful and trusting environment for patients, visitors and staff.

Credit is announced on the Group Home page. All sessions are reviewed individually and credit is pulled for any that does not meet the criteria.
