Predicting Sobriety after Residential Chemical Dependency Treatment
Matthew Stohs, M.D.
Introduction
Dr. Stohs received his B.S. in Biology from Valparaiso University in 2006. He later earned his M.D. from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana in 2012. He is currently completing his fourth year of psychiatric residency training at Mayo Clinic. He will begin a fellowship in addiction psychiatry at Mayo Clinic in July of 2016. His clinical interests include treating addiction in the adolescent and young adult population as well as integrating psychiatric care into primary care settings.
Learning Objectives
1. Identify factors that predispose patients to relapse into substance use after chemical dependency treatment.
2. Identify factors that are protective from relapse into substance use after chemical dependency treatment.

Towards a Better Understanding of Mental Health Needs in the Rochester Community
Asfia Qaadir, D.O.
Introduction
Dr. Qaadir is a graduating 2nd year Child and Adolescent Fellow, who has completed Adult Psychiatry training at Mayo. She has an interest in the intersection of youth mental health, gender relations, and community mental health systems.
Learning Objectives
1. Improved understanding of demographics of local Rochester immigrant families.
2. Appreciation for increased need of mental health literacy, with consideration for immigrant families.
3. To learn which mental health needs are described by the community as priorities.
