TITLE: Mental Health Care Delivery in Minnesota: A System in Crisis
Bruce Sutor, MD, is a Consultant and Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. He has been Practice Chair for the Department of Psychiatry and Psychology at Mayo since 2011 and in 2016 was appointed to the Governor’s Task Force for Mental Health. Dr. Sutor chairs Mayo’s Behavioral Health Public Policy Workgroup. A native Minnesotan, Dr. Sutor graduated from Mayo Medical School and completed his residency training in psychiatry at the Mayo Clinic.
Learning Objectives
- Participants will gain a better understanding of how events and public policy developments within the Mental Health Care Delivery System have affected the current care crisis Mayo is contending with.
- Participants will learn of local and statewide initiatives aimed at solving the mental health care delivery crisis.
