Introduction
Melanie T. Gentry M.D. is board certified in Adult and Geriatric Psychiatry. She graduated from the Mayo Clinic School of Medicine and completed her psychiatry training at Massachusetts General Hospital/McLean Hospital Training Program. She completed a geriatric psychiatry fellowship at McLean Hospital/Harvard University. She has worked for many years in the field of Geriatric Psychiatry, developing expertise in treating late life depression, anxiety and cognitive disorders. She spent the last 6 years in clinical and teaching roles at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, Saint Luke’s Health System and Truman Medicals Centers. She has served most recently as the Division Chief for Behavioral Neuroscience, Marion Bloch Neuroscience Institute, Saint Luke's Health System, Kansas City, Missouri. She joined Mayo Clinic, Department of Psychiatry and Psychology as a Senior Associate Consultant in August 2017. She is working within the department of Psychiatry and Psychology as well as with the Mayo Clinic Center for Connected Care to develop telemedicine services across the Mayo Clinic Health System.Development's Asian Caucus.
