Introduction
1st Speaker
Dr. Cowan graduated summa cum laude from the honor’s college at Arizona State University with a degree in psychology. She was the recipient of the Dr. B.B. Moeur Award, considered equivalent to a Valedictorian Award. She went on to graduate with her medical degree from University of Arizona in Phoenix, receiving the psychiatry clerkship award and the Robert F. Crawford, M.D. Scholastic Achievement Award. Dr. Cowan is now completing her final year of training as a child and adolescent psychiatry fellow at Mayo clinic after her general psychiatry residency where she received the Dr. Alexander Lucas Award.
