Monica Taylor-Desir, MD
Dr. Monica Taylor-Desir is a Senior Associate Consultant and Instructor at the Mayo Clinic Department of Psychiatry and Psychology in Rochester, MN. She has served as a co-Department Diversity Leader for the Department of Psychiatry & Psychology since January 2020. Her primary clinical work is as a psychiatrist for the Olmsted County Assertive Community Treatment through a collaborative outreach agreement between Mayo Clinic and Olmsted County. Prior to joining Mayo Clinic Dr. Taylor-Desir served tribal communities for 16 years as a chief medical officer, psychiatrist, and community liaison between social services, health and human services, tribal correctional systems and tribal and state governments. Dr. Taylor-Desir is also a recent Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Clinical Scholars fellow during which her work focused on youth suicide prevention in tribal communities.

- Identify factors that may increase the risk of trauma during COVID-19
- Identify screens and treatments for race based trauma
