Revisiting Physician Liability for Informal Consultations
Chinmoy Gulrajani, MBBS, MD, DFAPA

Dr. Gulrajani is an adjunct associate professor of psychiatry at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities and a Physician specialist in Forensic Psychiatry at the Minnesota Dept. of Human Services. He is the training director for forensic psychiatry at the University where he also directs the fellowship program in forensic psychiatry. He is a Distinguished Fellow of the APA and President-Elect of the Minnesota Psychiatric Society. Dr. Gulrajani’s research interests span across a broad array of topics in psychiatry including neurobiology of bipolar disorder, physician malpractice and standard of care litigation, and ethics and social justice in psychiatry. He sits on the editorial board of the Journal of the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law, and was awarded the Lily Young Investigator in Bipolar Disorder Fellowship Award in 2003.
