Perceptions of COVID-19 in Minority Groups

This presentation covers how COVID-19 has impacted Black, indigenous and other communities of color are negatively impacted by social determinants. Richard O. White, M.D., a Mayo Clinic internist, and community members discuss immediate concerns, obtaining PPE, testing and support needs, as well as other social determinants brought to light by the pandemic.

Target Audience

Healthcare workers of all specialties who are being impacted by COVID-19, including physicians, research scientists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, and anyone with a particular interest in prevention, treatment, patient care, and healthcare disparities.

  • Describe BIPOC community knowledge, awareness and preparedness for COVID-19.
