DESCRIPTION
This monthly education lecture series will involve formal presentations in the areas of practice, research, and policy relevant to the social work profession. This education series will provide continued education to increased knowledge and skills necessary to provide the highest quality of care to patients and their families. There was positive feedback from the 2023 RSS with the only complaint that staff were not able to attend in real time but still interested in topics and credit.
TARGET AUDIENCE
This activity is appropriate for nurse, nurse practitioner, pharmacist, physician, physician assistant, resident fellow.

Upon conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Define the term "trained professional", as it relates to assessing suicide risk in updated policies.
- Apply changes to the Plummer Chart Suicide Navigator to suicide risk assessment within social work role.
- Identify updates made to the crisis action plan as part of the suicide risk assessment.
- List supportive resources and identify location to attain these resources.
