DESCRIPTION
This monthly lecture series offers social workers ongoing education on practice, research, and policy. Sessions feature expert-led presentations on current evidence-based practices, covering emerging trends and new guidelines to help participants stay updated and apply knowledge in clinical and community settings.

Live-Streamed; Monthly on the first Friday from 12:00-1:15 p.m. (MST-AZ)

Target Audience
Social Workers (There may be a time audience is interprofessional, especially as we do have nurse case managers and chaplains within our department, however we will not be able to award credit.)

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

• Provide up to date information on social work policy, procedure, and intervention to maintain compliance with accrediting boards.
• Identify evolving psychosocial standards to implement best practice for current roles.
• Integrate education into daily social work practice to enhance competency and increase expertise.

As a Jointly Accredited Organization, Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science is approved to offer Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program.  Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program.  State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit.  Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science maintains responsibility for this course.  Social workers completing this course will receive 1.00 continuing education credits.
