Mayo Clinic Healthy Living Summit is a 2.5 day conference for health and wellness professionals. This course is intended to provide a robust exploration of evidence-based health and wellness topics. Participants will learn new skills and information that they can share with their patients and clients and implement into their own lives. Learners will stay current with research and practice in health and wellness, resiliency, physical activity and nutrition. They will participate in group discussions, hands-on activities and lectures.

Registration Fee: $700.00

Target Audience

This course is designed for allied health specialists and wellness professionals including health and wellness coaches, dietitians, movement specialists, health education specialists, and sports medicine trainers.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Summarize the latest research and concepts in the areas of physical activity, resiliency, wellness coaching, and nutrition.
  • Describe the use of wellness coaching tools to enhance participant awareness.
  • Describe a dietary pattern and physical activity habits that will decrease health risks
  • Recognize features of wellness programs that facilitate long-term behavior change

Activity Type 170: Live Lectures/Seminar – Live Lecture/Live seminar content must meet CDR CPEU content criteria, be dietetics related, and include participation by or discussion among attendees. Web or telephone conference seminars must occur in real time and include a provision for discussion and interaction between the presenter and attendees. All continuing professional education activity types* addressing diet and nutrition topics, must include a CDR Credentialed RD or DTR in program planning. Note that recorded webinars do not qualify under this activity type. One CPEU is equivalent to 1 contact hour.
