3rd Annual Collaborative Symposium: Update in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery 2015

This collaborative symposium features leading experts in the field from Mayo Clinic, Harvard Medical School, and Cleveland Clinic who will present a well-balanced program in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery. The course will showcase multiple unedited surgical videos introducing cutting-edge technology and procedural innovations in vaginal, laparoscopic and robotic approaches in gynecology. 

Learning Objectives

Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:

  • Apply state-of-the-art practice for vaginal, robotic and laparoscopic hysterectomy to current practice
  • Compare a variety of minimally invasive treatment options for uterine fibroids
  • Evaluate the latest developments in the field and explore future directions regarding a new technique for contained morcellation
  • Assess the management of pelvic pain and endometriosis, including excision of advanced endometriosis
  • Identify the most common complications in laparoscopic, robotic and hysteroscopic procedures and develop strategies to avoid them during surgery
  • Determine how to select which patients are appropriate for surgery
