Current trends for management of general surgical patients are constantly changing. As technical advances progress, options for surgical treatments continue to expand. This interactive symposium, designed for general surgeons, assists in decision-making for multiple aspects of surgical practice. Active audience participation with faculty is strongly encouraged during case presentations and the faculty panel discussions. Target Audience
General surgeons are the target audience for this symposium. The topics are universal and apply to all general surgeons, so the activity is marketed to general surgeons both nationally and internationally.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Review the latest innovations in breast cancer and lymphedema treatment.
- Examine the latest recommendations in wound care.
- Demonstrate how to mitigate complications in difficult or unexpected gallbladder disease.
- Recognize the multidisciplinary coordination of care in esophageal, gastric, pancreatic, rectal, and retroperitoneal malignancies.
- Discuss the evaluation process of common and unusual thoracic diseases.

A Special room block has been reserved for your stay during the course. The room Palace Resort View King or 2 Queen beds is $265 per night plus tax. Maximum occupancy per room is four. Attendees who confirm a room reservation at the group rate will receive a discount of $15+tax for the Daily Resort Charge (retail $45+tax per day) and $15 per day self-parking (retail $39 per day).
A one night deposit due at the time of booking.
Cancellation is 14 days prior to arrival to receive a refund of the deposit. Booking your room is simple, just select "Book a Room" to receive the preferred rate.
To ensure accommodations, make your reservation before the room block fills or January 4, 2023. Please make your reservations early to ensure accommodations at the discounted rate. Attendees are responsible for their own reservations.
All travel and lodging expenses are the sole responsibility of the individual registrant.

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the learner to earn credit toward the CME and Self-Assessment requirements of the American Board of Surgery’s Continuous Certification program. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit learner completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABS credit.

LIVE (in-person) attendees must comply with all live course requirements and guidelines and applicable state and local COVID-19 travel restrictions, guidance and resources.
Please note that LIVE course faculty must:
Complete COVID-19 testing of any kind (home tests are acceptable) and received a negative test result within 72 hours of the event start date OR that a positive COVID-19 test result of any kind was received within the past 90 days, it has been at least 20 days since COVID-19 infection, and they are currently asymptomatic.

Learners who do not fulfill the above requirements will be unable to attend this live (in-person) event.
