Topic:  Courageous Conversations Around Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at Mayo Clinic

Objectives:

1. Summarize Mayo Clinic’s strategic diversity and inclusion goals and relevance to practice, education and research.
2. Identify ways individuals and groups can advance progress on these goals at Mayo Clinic in Arizona
3. Evaluate the role of MERG’s (Mayo Employee Resource Groups), leadership, and individual efforts to mitigate unconscious bias and stereotype threat and improve patient care.
4. Develop issues related to patient and visitor misconduct and strategies aimed to address these events utilizing Mayo Clinic’s policy, procedure and reporting resources.
