The Mayo Clinic Arizona Anesthesiology Residency Program is proud to host the 60th Annual Western Anesthesia Residents Conference (WARC). The 2023 annual meeting will include more than 20 anesthesiology residency programs from throughout the Western region of the United States. The conference will provide an opportunity for residents, students, and fellows to present work they have accomplished during their training, including original research, quality improvement, and medically challenging cases. Submissions for oral and poster presentations will be accepted this Fall. The conference also provides networking opportunites for anesthesia trainees, anesthesiologists, and other medical professionals.

A block of guest rooms have been created for attendees and their guests with special course rates of $219.00 per night plus tax at DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Hotel Paradise Valley-Scottsdale. In order to receive the special rate, reservations must be made before the room block is filled or before the expiration date of March 10, 2023, whichever comes first. Reservations will be taken following this date based on space and rate availability.

The Saguaro Cactus is only found in southern Arizona and western Sonora, Mexico and the saguaro bloom is Arizona’s state flower. There are several low mountain ranges around the city for hiking. Phoenix is also the home of five professional sports teams including the Arizona Cardinals, the Arizona Diamondbacks, and the Phoenix Mercury.
